Position Description

Job Summary

Under the general supervision of the Clinical Services Director, this multiple function position provides support in several areas within Campus Health & Wellbeing - Health Services’ departments as needed, ensuring smooth clinic or office operations, excellent patient service, and compliance with health information management standards. This position provides coverage for Campus Health & Wellbeing Clinical Services Coordinator (front desk reception area), clerical process related to Health Information with lead direction from the Health Information Technician, support to the Student Healthcare Navigator patient support referral process, and other general clerical support as needed. Working relatively independently, the individual must be able to use their own initiative in organizing work assignments and determining the most effective means for completing assigned duties. The individual must be able to use effective communication and listening skills with the ability to make decisions daily on health information requests based on university and office procedures and policies.

Department Summary

The purpose of Campus Health & Wellbeing is to help students achieve and maintain academic success and lifelong health and well-being by providing timely and appropriate primary and acute health care, disease and injury prevention education, professional mental health, outreach, educational services and campus consultations. 

Key Qualifications

  • Ability to use tact, diplomacy, and compassion to effectively handle a broad range of high level and sensitive interpersonal situations with diverse personalities, and to respond appropriately to conflicts and problems.
  • Ability to independently handle multiple work priorities and projects.
  • Thorough knowledge of office methods, procedures, and practices.
  • Comprehensive and detailed knowledge of the university infrastructure, policies, and procedures.
  • Demonstrated customer service experience requiring a very high level of diplomacy and professionalism to effectively handle a broad range of high-level and sensitive interpersonal situations and to respond appropriately to conflicts and problems.

Education and Experience

  • Four years of general office support experience. (Training at a vocational school or full-time college education may be substituted for two years of the required experience on the basis of one year of college education for 6 months of experience.)

Salary and Benefits

Anticipated Hiring Range: $46,376 - $56,624 Per Year

Classification Range: $46,368 - $72,864 Per Year

Supplemental Information

Satisfactory completion of a background check (including a criminal records check) is required for employment.
