Position Description

Job Summary

Under the general direction of the Assistant Director of Clinical Services and Health Center Operations, this position independently provides specialized administrative and consultative support for CH&W clinical and financial matters. This position provides resource analysis and allocation for both human and fiscal needs to assure effective operations of all clinical, health, and wellness needs, leads or coordinates complex and long-term projects supporting CH&W initiatives, and presents information and ideas in written or presentation form.  This position also provides lead work direction and oversight for CH&W front desk and administrative support staff.

Department Summary

Campus Health & Wellbeing (CH&W) helps students achieve and maintain academic success and lifelong health and wellbeing by providing timely and appropriate primary and acute health care, disease and injury prevention education, professional mental health, outreach, educational services, and campus consultations.

Key Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of operational and fiscal principles, techniques, and best practices.
  • Expertise in investigating and analyzing problems with a broad administrative impact and implications.
  • Knowledge of, or the ability to quickly learn and apply, college, university, and CSU policies and procedures, Cal Poly Campus Administrative Policies (CAP), Collective Bargaining Agreements, Executive Orders and Coded Memoranda.
  • Knowledge of or ability to learn Cal Poly and CSU policies and procedures for health center operations, budget, and financial activities.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to gather, interpret and assess information and data in support of recommendations; ability to understand and analyze problems from a broad, proactive approach.

Education and Experience

  • Equivalent to graduation from a four-year college or university. One year of technical or administrative experience. A graduate degree in a related field may be substituted for one year of the required experience. Qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis.  

Salary and Benefits

Anticipated Hiring Range: $60,000 - $75,000 Per Year

Classification Range: $46,548.00 - $89,856.00 Per Year
