Job Summary

Greet visitors, respond to inquiries from students, parents, faculty, staff, and the general public, regarding department, college and university information.

Supervise student assistants.

Support department in hiring processes of faculty and staff positions as needed.

Assist with all aspects of event planning (departmental events, WOW BBQ, Parents Weekend, and Commencement/ Order of the Engineer, SEAOC ARCE reception).

Coordinate course scheduling process including but not limited to inputting data, generating standard reports, coordinating teaching schedules, troubleshooting common registration issues, managing required student advising process and collaborating with university class scheduling in accordance with policies and deadlines.

Assist with faculty reimbursements.

Monitor enrollment data and related files. Run standard reports based on this data.

Create academic advising folders for the incoming class and all other duties associated with the start of a new academic year.

Order equipment and supplies, process forms for signatures, and assist with department communications (department mail, email, website, student e-digest, faculty office hours and syllabi, and social media).

Provide other general clerical and administrative support and other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

High school diploma or its equivalent. Four years of general office support or technical experience. (Training at a vocational school or full-time college education may be substituted for two years of the required experience on the basis of one year of college education for 6 months of experience)

Salary:

Anticipated Hiring Range: $21.23 - $23.30 per hour

Classification Range: $21.23 - $33.36 per hour
