Job Summary

Reporting to the Director of Campus Assessment, Response & Education (CARE), this position plays an essential role in coordinating a wide range of activities and projects in a busy office, supporting the Dean of Students in carrying out department goals. This position provides comprehensive administrative support, with responsibilities to include operations, budget and personnel support, communication and implementation of policies and procedures, data entry and tracking related to Campus Assessment, Response & Education (CARE) projects, and day-to-day support for departmental budgets and reporting

Department Summary

The Office of the Dean of Students serves as a resource for helping students resolve university-related issues and concerns in support of student individual/academic success and is committed to supporting the academic success of students by fostering the development of integrity and problem-solving skills, teaching self-advocacy and personal responsibility; and helping students understand the fundamental principles of good citizenship and responsible leadership.

Key Qualifications

  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and respond to all inquiries and requests related to work area.
  • Demonstrated skill in collection and evaluation of data to develop valid conclusions and recommendations, including, compile information in concise manner for meetings and/or reports.
  • Working knowledge of or ability to quickly learn budget policies and procedures.
  • Ability to perform standard arithmetic functions of a transactional nature, including tracking and comparing data.
  • Thorough detailed knowledge of, or ability to quickly learn, applicable university infrastructure, policies, and procedures.

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or its equivalent. Type 45 wpm.  Four years of general office support experience. (Training at a vocational school or full-time college education may be substituted for two years of the required experience on the basis of one year of college education for 6 months of experience.)

Salary and Benefits

Anticipated Hiring Range: $44,167 - $53,928 Per Year

Classification Range: $44,160 - $69,396 Per Year
