Job Summary
Under the general direction of the Information Technology Supervisor, the AV & Technology Integration Lead (AVTI) is responsible for the design, documentation, build, and execution of technology integration in a variety of spaces, including computer labs, smart classrooms, active-learning rooms, and conference rooms. The incumbent provides ongoing support and maintenance for the technology in the classroom and stays current with classroom technologies and methods to provide best practices while leveraging technology to provide a more efficient learning experience. The incumbent will utilize this knowledge to apply it to new designs and road maps. Lastly, the incumbent will facilitate training for classroom AV technology as requested and create, organize, and compile documentation relating to each classroom integration.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Management - Develop preliminary project plans: Establish clear project objectives, milestones, deadlines, and risk mitigation strategies. Design AVTI configurations: Craft AVTI configurations tailored to the specific needs and learning objectives of the learning environment.
- Audio & Video Technology Integration - Assess and identify AVTI needs and support the design and integration of technology in CHHS Department Allocated Resources (DAR). Create a road map for technology in the classrooms, working with stakeholders to address their needs and to be in compliance with CHHS goals.
- Extended Reality (XR) Technology Research and Development - Research and Develop new XR technologies for use in higher education, working with various developers to create new software, or conducting experiments to test the effectiveness of different XR technologies.
- Training, Support, and Maintenance - Oversees the Technology Integration Specialist to provide training to faculty, staff, and administration on the usage of equipment as needed, including providing training on how to use the AV equipment in classrooms and how to troubleshoot common problems.

Compensation
Salary placement is determined by the education, experience, and qualifications the candidate brings to the position, internal equity, and the hiring department’s fiscal resources.
- Hiring Range: The hiring range for this position is $6,492 (Step 1) - $7,458 (Step 8) per month commensurate with candidate's education, experience, skills, and training.
- CSU Classification Salary Range: The CSU Classification Salary Range for this position is $6,492 (Step 1) - $9,458 (Step 20) per month.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
The ideal candidate is a highly skilled technical professional who can independently apply sound technical judgment to both standard and complex systems, with deep expertise in computer technology, system troubleshooting, hardware/software migrations, and maintenance across systems, databases, and networks. They possess strong knowledge of data structures, database systems, operating systems, and the evaluation of software, hardware, multimedia applications, including AVTI, XR technologies, and 2D/3D modeling tools such as Visio, SketchUp, and AutoCAD. This individual excels in project management, capable of planning schedules, resolving a wide range of problems, communicating clearly with diverse audiences, training others on complex processes, and building strong stakeholder relationships. As a leader, they take initiative, manage projects from start to finish, use resources effectively, meet deadlines, solve unexpected issues, and keep the IT team informed. Additionally, they demonstrate a strong understanding of classroom technologies, have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and can work both independently and collaboratively while performing under pressure.

Education and Experience
• Equivalent to a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Educational Technology, Communications, or related technical field and four years of related experience required.
• 2+ years of experience in AV and technology integration preferred.
