The CSU Chancellor's Office, located on the waterfront adjacent to the Aquarium of the Pacific in downtown Long Beach, is the headquarters for the nation's largest and most diverse system of higher education. Salary

The anticipated salary hiring range is up to $11,667 per month, commensurate with qualifications and experience.

The salary range for this classification is $7,020 to $13,594 per month.

Position Information

The California State University, Office of the Chancellor, is seeking a CHRS Integrations Lead to work closely with CHRS Program and CMS teams to oversee the operation of the CHRS integration platform (currently Boomi iPaas) to systems such as CHRS, Common Finance System (CFS), Campus Solutions (CS), Person Data Management (PDM), as well as integration with other third-party and/or internal systems such as PageUp and Pathlock. This position will facilitate meetings with campuses technical resources and work as a “consultant” by collaborating with campuses to assist them in identifying and working through campus-specific integrations. Incumbent will facilitate and conduct presentations to end-users as disseminate information relating to integrations and/or move to production activities. The incumbent also will partner with the CMS technical team members, CSU campuses constituents, and third-party vendors to map out and deliver robust integrations solutions to CHRS. In collaboration with the CHRS Technical Director, the incumbent will work on CHRS move-to-production activities including the coordination of conversion, security, HR Application Teams, CMS Technical Services and campuses representatives in support CHRS go-lives. The incumbent will work closely with the ITS Innovation Digital Accessibility Teams and CMS to improve accessibility within the CHRS application. The incumbent will employ Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act, Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG), and California State University (CSU) policy to test application development for CHRS and provide internal and external stakeholders feedback during development and for remediation.

Responsibilities

Under the general direction of the CHRS Technical Director, the CHRS Integrations Lead will perform duties as outlined below:

Responsible for leveraging modern integration tool(s) to enable multi-platform data and application integration for all products and solutions within the CHRS ecosystem:

-Work with campuses to gather and understand integration business needs and requirements, document those requirements, and collaborate with CMS to develop integration solutions.

-Review unit test plans and develop integration tests for CHRS and third-party solutions such as Boomi, PDM, and Pathlock applications.

-Troubleshoot and resolve varying levels of technical issues relating to CHRS ecosystem.

-Provide input and present new features, functionality, and future strategies for implementing and using new technology related to integrations.

-Experience in SDLC development methodologies, application development life cycle, testing and deployment.

-Provide input for the integration solutions to meet the functional and technical requirements of the CHRS system.

-Work with key stakeholders such as CMS and CSU Campuses constituents to translate functional specifications into technical designs for implementation and deployment for CHRS related applications.

-Collaborate with the CMS Teams and/or other CO teams to develop and support shared integration processes that can be leveraged CSU system-wide.

-Participate and/or conduct technical meetings with campuses relating to integrations and/or third-party solutions.

Assist CHRS Technical Director with mock runs and move to production tasks including the following: 

-Provide technical support for CHRS implementation and post-go live activities.

-Collaborate with CHRS Technical Director to develop Oracle PUM strategy and advise CMS technical team members with retrofitting activities.

-Participate in the deployment preparation and planning of the PeopleTool Upgrades for CHRS production and non-production instances. 

-Collaborate with CMS HR Application Team and Technical Services to assist with load performance testing of CHRS databases.

Develop and maintain all technical documentation, including but not limited to:

-Develop data integration standards according to CHRS policies and CSU best practices.

-Create technical and/or functional specification documents such as requirements, design, modifications, and enhancements.

-Develop integration guides, configuration guides, test plans and test scripts as needed.

-Employ university-approved tools and processes to monitor and improve the accessibility of applications and web interfaces according to the latest WCAG, Section 508, and ADA, and CSU ATI compliant standards.

-Undertake special projects, as directed.

Qualifications

This position requires:

-This position requires a BA/BS degree as well as 7+ years of work experience Oracle/PeopleSoft applications and tools.

-Expertise in functional and/or technical knowledge of a Master Data Management (MDM) integration solution or Oracle Higher Education Constituent Hub (HECH).

-Experience in PeopleSoft integration tools including Integration Broker and Boomi.

-Strong understanding of relational databases.

-Ability to facilitate meetings with business users to help gather and document functional and technical requirements; conduct presentations to end users to disseminate information.

-Ability to work with end users to define functional requirements and to translate those requirements into technical specifications.

-Experienced with writing technical and functional specifications documents as well as business process guides. 

-Excellent analytical skills and root cause analysis skills.

-Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong organizational and leadership skills, and well-developed interpersonal skills.

-Creative problem solving and strategic thinking skills to improve processes and solve complex problems.

-Customer service attitude and willingness to work in a cross functional team.

-Experience in SDLC processes and the activities required for each phase of the SDLC methodology.

-Possess ITIL 3 or 4 framework certification with deep understanding of the value-oriented approach to IT service delivery.

-Must possess working knowledge of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.0, 2.1, and/or 2.2 version standards and technical understanding of an integrated accessibility management platform such as Pathlock to remediate accessibility issues.

-Good understanding of ProSci Change Management methodology to implement a structured, adaptable, repeatable approach to enable campuses to successfully adopt integrations for CHRS.

Preferred Qualifications

-Experience working in a multi-faceted, complex university and/or working in a highly regulated environment preferred.

-Current knowledge of the California State University technical ecosystem.

-Familiar with CSU Accessibility Technology Initiative (ATI) or certification.

-Certification in Assistive Technology Applications (ATACP).

-Prosci Change Management Certification.
