The Communication Studies Department in the College of Liberal Arts at California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, is seeking two full-time lecturers, each with a one-year appointment with possible renewal. Duties and responsibilities include teaching basic oral communication courses and/or basic courses in argumentation, as well as other courses as needed. The teaching load is 3-4 four-unit courses per quarter, with 45 units total across the academic year. An A.B.D. or Ph. D. in Communication or closely related field and successful teaching record in oral communication courses are required. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.

The Cal Poly Communication Studies offers a highly selective Bachelor of Arts degree with 17 full-time faculty and over 300 undergraduate majors and minors.
