The Management, HR and Information System Area in the Orfalea College of Business at California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, is seeking applicants for a full-time lecturer position for two-year academic appointment beginning September 16, 2024, and ending June 13, 2026, in the primary area of Information Systems (IS). Applicants must have an interest and ability to teach undergraduate-level Introduction to MIS courses and at least one of the following courses: computer programming (preferably using Python and/or Java), mobile application development, computer networking, cloud computing, systems analysis and design, project management, information security, and emerging technologies.

The successful candidate must have completed a master’s degree in business with an emphasis in Information Systems or in a related field such as Computer Science from an AACSB (or equivalent) accredited institution. A Ph.D. in Business or a related field is a plus. Candidates are expected to demonstrate and maintain currency in their professional field. Experience of teaching at the upper-division college level is also desirable.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Demonstrated experience and commitment to student-centered learning and teaching, as well as the ability to collaboratively work in multidisciplinary settings is required. Demonstrated proficiency in written and oral use of the English language is required.

The person holding this position is considered a 'mandated reporter' under the California Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Act and is required to comply with the requirements set forth in CSU Executive Order 1083 as a condition of employment.
