Water Resources Manager	Cal Poly - San Luis Obispo Campus
The Facilities Management and Development (FM&D) organization is a unit within the Administration and Finance division and is responsible for the management, operations, and development of facilities on the university campus. Cal Poly is building the CSU's first Water Reclamation Facility to treat campus sewer to generate recycled water for use on campus. Lead Water Distribution and Collection Specialist	San José
The Lead Water Distribution and Collection Specialist performs skilled journey-level plumbing work including installation, maintenance, modification, and repair of water, gas, steam, sewage, fire prevention, and refrigeration systems. Duties include troubleshooting and testing systems (including backflow devices), assembling and installing pipes, valves, and fittings, managing lab utilities, estimating project costs and materials, inspecting work for code compliance, and maintaining tools, equipment, and records. Work may involve exposure to hazardous materials.
Groundsworker	East Bay
The main function of the Groundsworker position is to maintain the campus grounds in a way that provides a safe and aesthetically pleasing environment for the staff, faculty, students and the community. Under general supervision, this position performs work involving some or all of the following: planting, cultivating, fertilizing, spraying and watering ornamental plants, shrubs, hedges, trees, lawns and flowers. The Groundsworker is also responsible for raking, removing weeds, cleaning trash from assigned areas including parking lots; preparing and treating soils for planting, maintaining hoses, sprinklers, tools, supplies and equipment in proper condition and repair. Additionally, trimming of trees, hedges, shrubs, and install tree supports. This position may operate and perform minor repairs and maintenance on power equipment such as lawn mowers, edger’s, and weed eaters and assist in preparing athletic fields for events. The Groundsworker may occasionally assist a in sprinkler repair, spraying, tree trimming, or nursery functions, operate trucks and other equipment in performance of assigned duties. The Building Service Engineer is distinguished by the independent and ongoing performance of maintenance and repair work on a ride range of heating, ventilating, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, refrigeration, air conditioning, and water systems. The Building Service Engineer performs work on complex heating, refrigeration, air-conditioning and other mechanical systems. Position makes decisions based upon sound maintenance practice. Rotates through various shift assignments at stations either in a central plant or in the utilities centers of individual buildings or campus centers and will primarily be assigned to Mashouf Wellness Center.

The laborer performs manual labor including moving heavy furniture and equipment, assisting with event setup, and loading/unloading materials. Cleans and maintains assigned areas removing debris, power washing, clearing gutters and drainage, and hauling waste and recyclables. Supports construction and grounds crews with basic tasks such as site prep, rough repairs, demolition, pavement patching, pruning, and debris removal. Operates and performs basic maintenance on hand tools and power equipment.
