| The Registered Nurse (RN) primary responsibility is to conduct initial nursing triage assessments for walk-in, telehealth, urgent, and scheduled visits to determine acuity and appropriate level of care, provide responsive, sound, and accurate medical triage and assessment of patients. Provides patient education, counseling, and anticipatory guidance for common conditions, treatment plans, and self-care. Coordinates referrals to medical providers, mental health professionals, or external specialists as appropriate. Administers vaccines per CDC and state guidelines. Reviews and validates immunization records, ensuring compliance with university and public health requirements. | The Building Service Engineer completes independent and on-going performance of maintenance and repair work on a wide range of heating, ventilating, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, refrigeration, air conditioning, and water systems. Building Service Engineers perform work on complex refrigeration and air conditioning systems.
Under general supervision, the Building Service Engineer (BSE) independently performs ongoing preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, and minor repair on a wide range of campus mechanical systems, including heating, ventilating, plumbing, electrical (as related to HVAC), refrigeration/air-conditioning, and water systems. Uses the campus building automation system (BAS) to diagnose issues, adjust setpoints/schedules, and optimize comfort and energy use; responds to service requests; tests and chemically treats boiler/condenser/cooling-tower water; and maintains logs and records in the campus CMMS (TMA). May rotate through central plant and building utility rooms and may provide instruction to semi-skilled staff. Responds to campus emergencies as essential personnel.

| The Lab Research Technician ensures the continuous production, collection, processing, and archiving of environmental data collected at a meso-network of biometeorological field sites across California for the Cal State East Bay campus. This role is responsible for the day-to-day operation, maintenance, and calibration of on-going field measurements of carbon, water and energy exchange between vegetation canopies and the atmosphere and the environmental sensors that measure the condition of the air, soil and water. The Lab Research Technician trains and provides lead work direction to undergraduate and graduate students, postdoctoral scholars, and visitors on laboratory and field techniques, as needed. This position writes analysis reports on sensor performance tests and calibrations, data quality and gap filling, and processes raw meteorological data to compute eddy covariance fluxes of mass and energy exchange. The Lab Research Technician also assists with the development and testing of new sensors and methods. |

The incumbent is responsible for managing day-to-day departmental operations, interpreting and applying university policies and procedures, and ensuring continuity of services and workflow across all administrative areas.
This position requires the ability to proactively navigate and coordinate multiple university systems, including budgeting, procurement, accounting, HR, the Dean’s Office, the Registrar, and other academic and administrative units to support departmental programs and resolve operational issues. The incumbent develops, implements, and maintains office procedures, tracking systems, and administrative processes to ensure organizational effectiveness, compliance with university requirements, and adherence to external accreditation standards. The role requires independent judgment, the ability to evaluate and improve administrative practices, and effective communication with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
In addition, the position will provide lead work direction to a Staff ASC I employee upon their hire. This is primarily an in-person, Monday–Friday position on the Hayward campus; limited telework may be approved in alignment with university policy and departmental needs.
