Under the Division of Student Affairs, and general supervision from the Director of the Office of Black Student Success (OBSS), the Program Coordinator identifies and mentors students on routine matters using the African American (AA) Data Dashboard, Educational Advisory Board (EAB), and other methods of bringing students in for services when needed.
The Program Coordinator supports OBSS in moderately complex professional student service work by utilizing knowledge and judgement of principles, techniques, standards, guides, and professional skills to advise students. Services are provided through student peer mentorship programs, leadership training, retention activities, educational curriculum presentations, direct student advising/counseling, and other services to promote student success. Additionally, the Program Coordinator will help assist current CSUSB students in their quest for financial literacy and work with established partners to support student needs. |

In addition, the incumbent provides general office support and acts as a liaison between the President’s Office and SFSU campus departments. |
